The Great Basin Institute, in partnership with the National Park Service, is hiring an Archives Technician for the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. This position focuses on processing and organizing archival collections that document the park’s environmental history, administrative activities, and cultural heritage. The technician will prepare finding aids, conduct digitization projects, and help ensure compliance with federal records management regulations. Working amid one of the nation’s most striking natural landscapes, the archivist will play a pivotal role in preserving the narratives of both the park’s human history and its ecological transformations. The posting went live in early August 2025 and is anticipated to remain open for at least another month.
