Published: February 11, 2015 by Dr. Pat Franks
On April 16, 2013, Norman Mooradian deliverd a MARA Guest Lecture on the topic of “Professional Ethics for Archives and Records Professionals.” You can use this link to the colloquia page.
This month, ARMA International is inviting members and non-members to view Norm’s new presentation, “The Ethics of Personal Information Management.” It’s free. All you need to do is register if you have not already. By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Distinguish elements of privacy and their relevance to decision making and policy formation
- Use ethical principles and concepts to explain or justify judgments and policies
- Use ethics frameworks as a bridge to meeting legal requirements
- Identify challenges presented by unstructured content and big data
If you are a Certified Records Manager, you can request 1 hour of maintenance credits from the Institute of Certified Records Manager — the domain for this presentation is “Risk Management.”
If you have not taken advantage of ARMA’s web seminars in the past, this is a good place to start.
