Mark your calendars— International Archives Week 2025 is just around the corner, and this year’s theme promises to inspire! From June 2–8, archivists and information professionals around the globe will come together under the banner of “Stronger Archives Through Collaboration”, celebrating the powerful role of archives in shaping inclusive, connected communities.

Organized by the International Council on Archives (ICA), the week offers a chance to reflect on how technology, partnerships, and people intersect to drive innovation in the field. Events will spotlight advancements in digital access, efforts to preserve marginalized histories, and the importance of cross-institutional collaboration. From community-driven oral histories to large-scale digitization efforts, the focus is clear: archives are stronger together.

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) will also be hosting webinars and discussions throughout the week, emphasizing practical strategies for digital longevity and inclusive stewardship. Whether you’re a seasoned archivist, a digital preservation nerd, or just archive-curious, there’s something to learn—and contribute—during this global celebration.
