Responsible for maturing the county’s records and information governance capabilities and operations through implementation and maintenance of technical policies and procedures, enabling compliant lifecycle management, disclosure, and disposal of non-permanent digital county records, communications, and electronically stored information (ESI) within its enterprise IT platform, system, and application implementations. This includes the recommendation, development and/or management implementation of back-end and/or front-end rules, procedures, standards, feature configuration options and capabilities for the inventory, audit, and monitoring of county records and information and their management-related activities. History Nebraska is seeking a dynamic, highly organized problem solver to serve as the agency’s Curator of Government Records and State Archivist. As a member of the Collections team, this position is accountable for appraising government records, reviewing and approving records retention schedules, ensuring preservation of and access to government records of enduring historic value regardless of format, and coordinating Nebraska’s State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB). The successful applicant will curate and provide access to some of Nebraska’s most interesting historical records. University Archivist – Regis University, Denver, CO
The University Archivist is a member of the Digital Initiatives & Preservation Unit and is responsible for overseeing the University Archives and Special Collections at Dayton Memorial Library. The Digital Initiatives & Preservation unit oversees physical and digital archives, digitization and digital content capture, circulating and streaming media, circulating media equipment, and consultation for digital projects. The University Archivist works collaboratively with members of the unit with an emphasis on physical archives, and will contribute to visioning and strategic planning. Our aim is to provide access to collections reflective of our diverse community to be used in teaching, research, and personal enrichment. The Director of Preservation is responsible for the continued growth and administration of the Texas A&M University Libraries’ preservation program for physical and digital collections in all Libraries holding locations. The Preservation Unit thrives on a proactive approach to fulfilling its mission and enthusiastically collaborates relationships within the Libraries, the University, and in the professional community. The Director provides strategic vision and management for preservation needs across the entire Libraries in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to address current and future challenges to long-term preservation and access to Texas A&M University’s heterogeneous collections found in six libraries and two offsite storage facilities. Applicants should have a postgraduate qualification in archives/special collections management and experience in a university or institutional archives/special collections, OR a postgraduate qualification in library management with specialization in archives/special collections, OR a graduate degree in History or other appropriate disciplines with significant experience in a university or institutional archive/special collections; along with at least 8 years’ experience in increasingly responsible positions within the profession of archives, special collections and/or related employment in teaching/research.
