Dr. Sandra Hirsh Chosen to Join Credo’s Advisory Board

With a solid background in academia, education, and technology, Dr. Sandra Hirsh, director of the San José State University (SJSU) School of Library and Information Science, brings her expertise to the 20-member advisory board of Credo, the information skills solutions provider that serves educational institutions worldwide.

According to Credo CEO Mike Sweet, the advisory board “helps us to gain a broad perspective of the library and educational landscape, enabling us to understand the needs of our customers and develop innovative solutions to address those needs.”

In addition to her posts as director and professor at the SJSU information school, Hirsh is the 2014 president-elect of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T). Her research focuses on information-seeking behavior and the information needs of various types of users, and she has more than a decade of experience working with major technology companies like Hewlett Packard and Microsoft. 

“I am looking forward to serving on the advisory board and having the opportunity to help improve Credo’s products to meet the continually changing information needs of a wide range of users,” said Hirsh.

Hirsh’s appointment to Credo’s advisory board was announced June 23, 2014.
