Dr. Franks, a SJSU SLIS Associate Professor, will use grant funds to develop a digital curation internship program, with an emphasis on virtual internships that will provide expanded student access to internship opportunities. Her goal is to establish a replicable virtual internship model. The grant will provide her with one month of summer salary, plus student assistant time.

Dr. Bernier, a SJSU SLIS Associate Professor, will use a one month summer fellowship to produce an edited collection of essays from the field’s leading scholars, offering the first comprehensive, critical, and evidence-based introduction to the practice and theory of young adult librarianship.
