SLIS Lecturer Scott Brown Elected President-Elect of AIIP

News

Scott Brown (SLIS Alum, 1999), a SLIS lecturer, has recently been elected as President-Elect of the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP), the premier industry association for independent information professionals. AIIP membership includes more than 500 business owners from over 20 countries around the world. AIIP member firms provide research and consulting services across a wide variety of industries and practice areas. His term will start in April at the 2011 AIIP Annual Conference, held in Vancouver, Washington.

Scott has recently taught SLIS courses on Marketing your LIS Skills in a Networked and Changing World, and Using Social Media for Competitive and Company Research (together with SLIS Alum Christy Confetti-Higgins).
