SLIS Student Holly Nguyen Receives Academic Research Libraries Career Enhancement Program Fellowship

Holly Nguyen received the Academic Research Libraries Career Enhancement Program Fellowship for 2011. As a Fellow, Nguyen went to the 2011 ALA Midwinter meeting in San Diego for a Leadership Conference. She is currently volunteering at University of California Berkeley’s Data Lab and working on a project creating an online assessment survey in Drupal (an open-source content management system). Nguyen is an active committee member in LITA (Library Information Technology Association). Her professional interests include library service for diverse communities, technology, collection development, and library assessment.

Nguyen was also invited to complete an internship at the Shapiro Library at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

She expects to graduate from SLIS in Fall 2011.
