LMS Services Coordinator
Alfredo Alcantar is the services coordinator for the online learning management system at the San José State University School of Information. In this role, he provides technical support and service, ensuring a high quality user experience for the iSchool’s faculty members and students. Alcantar assists faculty members in setting up their courses in the Canvas learning management system, trains faculty members and students on how to use Canvas, and helps faculty members and students solve any technical issues.
Alfredo also supports the iSchool’s use of Zoom. He has prepared documentation, helps with Zoom sessions, and oversees the Zoom webinar platform for the School.
A member of the iSchool’s Technology and Resources Committee,
Alcantar helps guide the school’s strategic planning process
regarding new technologies in online education.
Alcantar joined the iSchool in 2011.
