Note: Not appearing on the schedule, MARA 289 is also offered each spring for those students who must complete their e-Portfolio to graduate at the end of the fall semester.
* MARA students must complete 12 units of elective credit in addition to 30 units of credit from required courses. This can be accomplished by selecting any combination of the following options:
- 3-credit MLIS elective courses from the pre-approved list and then completing a form to receive a permission number (up to a maximum of 9 INFO units).
- any MARA 1-, 2-, or 3-credit elective courses offered (topics are offered as MARA 284, Seminar in Archives and Records Management)
- MLIS 1- or 2-credit courses in consultation with MARA Academic Advisor. Permission number to enroll will be provided upon approval.

** MARA 294 Professional Experience (Internship, Organizational Consulting Project, or Professional Project) is highly recommended as one 3-credit elective. It can be taken during Fall, Spring, or Summer terms.
+ MARA 284 is repeatable with different content up to 12 units. Two previous MARA 284 topics have new numbers as of Fall 2021–Information Assurance is now MARA 286 and Information Governance is now MARA 287.
