Kat Garcia

Kat Garcia’s primary duty as the San José State University School of Information’s Events and Recruitment Associate is to curate and organize recruitment events, meetings, receptions, and conferences, both online and in person events. She works closely with the director to plan, implement, and analyze all of the events. Garcia travels locally, nationally, and internationally to represent the School of Information during onsite professional conferences, as well as recruit prospective iSchool students. During online virtual conferences, she represents the iSchool at its virtual exhibit booths. Throughout these events she develops and maintains current relationships and communication with relevant professional associations and vendors across the nation and internationally. Garcia joined the San José State University School of Information in October 2021.
