In her role as the director of marketing and communications at the San José State University School of Information, Nicole Purviance develops and implements the marketing and communication strategies, including advertising, content marketing, email marketing, and social media marketing. She manages the school’s community relations, alumni relations, publicity, and student recruitment initiatives.
Sonia Belasco
Social Media and UX Coordinator
In her position as Social Media and UX Coordinator for the San José State University School of Information, Sonia Belasco strives to increase accessibility to information, resources, and community for iSchool students, faculty, staff and alumni.
Vivian Zuo
Events and Recruitment Associate
Vivian Zuo graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a BA in Intensive Psychology. During her undergraduate career, she was heavily involved in student organizations and held positions such as Events Coordinator, Lead Undergraduate Peer Advisor, Leadership Training Peer Advisor, and Peer Mentor.
After graduating during the COVID-19 pandemic, Zuo took on a Social Media Consultant position with Laney College in Oakland.
Elaine Hall
Communications Consultant and Project Manager
In her role as communications consultant for the San José State University School of Information, Elaine Hall oversees the iStudent Blog and Community Profiles and works closely with graduate student assistants on story leads, content development, and editorial review. As project manager, Hall works closely with Dr. Hirsh, iSchool faculty, and student assistants on presentation development, book and research projects, and special projects as assigned.
