Roger K. Summit Scholarship

ProQuest invites future information professionals to apply for the annual Roger K. Summit Scholarship. The Scholarship is open to all LIS students worldwide and the $5,000 award has been given for over twenty years, supporting promising graduate students in library and information sciences. The Roger K. Summit Scholarship was established in 1993 to honor Dr. Roger K. Summit for his outstanding contributions to the field of information science. The scholarship continues as part of ProQuest’s commitment to support graduate education and engage the next generation of information professionals.

Applicants must be students who are currently enrolled in an accredited library or information science program. The scholarship recipient, who must have demonstrated outstanding interest or performance in electronic information services, is selected based upon the following criteria:

  • Academic achievement
  • Demonstrated interest in electronic information services, based on course work, research, and experience
  • Faculty recommendations
