Showcase INFO 232 - Issues in Public Libraries

LA County Library Trends

LA County Library Trends: This was a group project that required us to select a public library and conduct an analysis on the library through its social media and online presence. The group acted as an outside consultant team and composed our findings into a magazine format. Our project is a study of the Los Angeles County Library, its mission, its relationship with the community, and our recommendations to further their mission. We explore the programs and services the library offers to its patrons, assessing trends the library has as well as the community’s wants and needs and how the library responds to those. We analyze the library’s vocabulary choices on the website and the equitable impact the library is making.
