Online Learning Around the Globe (Video): The presentation highlights a few organizations that are involved with supporting libraries and learning around the globe. The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) is “the global voice of the library and information profession” (IFLA, n.d.). ECHO (Education Community Hope Opportunity) mobile library serves migrant families and individuals that live in camps on the Greece border. Electronic Information For Libraries (EIFL) is a library consortium of university, research, and public libraries from 38 countries from around the globe.
Felipe Arida: I am currently an Administrative Clerk working for the Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL). I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree majoring in Sociology from California State University, Los Angeles. I want to work in a public library as a Young Adult/Adult librarian for LAPL. I plan to graduate from the MLIS program in Spring of 2022.
