Marie Vans (iSchool alumna), Bethany Winslow (SJSU eCampus instructional designer), and Dr. Pat Franks (MARA program coordinator) hosted a tour of VCARA and an overview of the upcoming XR Symposium on Saturday, September 5. 

The tour started with an introduction to 10 years’ worth of artifacts held in the Archivium that document the activities that had taken place in Second Life between 2009 and 2019. It stopped at several buildings, including the U-See-Um, an exhibit space that currently houses information about and teleport to 10 selected Virtual World spaces, including CVL, eGovernment, The Lost Unicorn, and Rockin’ Robin. The tour culminated at the XR Research Center where participants were able to view the arrangements for the symposium, including conference space, break-out rooms, and more.
