Queer Archives, Exhibitions, and Community
SJSU iSchool’s Celebration of LGBTQIA+ Pride Month
Please join the SJSU iSchool as we celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual, and more (LGBTQIA+) librarians and librarianship.
In 1999, the United States officially designated June as Pride month, after years of protests, riots, and movements demanding equality for LGBTQIA+ folks. While Pride month today is seen as a celebration of affirmation, equity, and visibility, it is also important to continue advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights and creating space for our underserved community members.
