Krü is a multimedia artist, archivist,  astrologist and founder of the Black Lesbian Archives. A grassroots archival project created on June 25th, 2017 to preserve, uplift, and celebrate the lives, legacies, and cultural contributions of Black Lesbians.

Rooted in community memory and intergenerational healing, her work has bridged the gaps in both physical and digital representation by creating accessible spaces for storytelling through media, education, and archival justice.

Inspired by the lack of visibility for Black Lesbians in mainstream archives, Kru launched the Black Lesbian Archives as a traveling, community-sourced hub for flyers, mixtapes, zines, oral histories, poetry, and other cultural artifacts, etc

The project has since evolved to include digital exhibitions, workshops, and a growing network of contributors from across the diaspora.

Kru is passionate about preserving Black Lesbian herstories and uses creative tools such as exhibitions, zines, and digital memory capsules to document and affirm the lived experiences of Black Lesbian communities. Her work centers on sovereignty, soul memory, and the radical act of remembrance.
