Gabrielle (they/he/she pronouns) is the Head Archivist at Lambda Archives of San Diego and a 2024 Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) graduate from the University of Washington. She was a 2023 Spectrum Scholar through the American Library Association (ALA) and the 2022 recipient of the Broadening Perspectives Scholarship through the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA). They also hold a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Media Studies from Scripps College. He has a background in community, university, and private archives, in addition to arts and museum contexts. Gabrielle is passionate about reparative description, LGBTQ stories and histories, activating collections for meaningful use in the present and future, facilitating respectful archival access, and building intentional and reciprocal relationships between archives and their communities.
