The Best of Archiving’19: Lisbon Recap
The International Society for Imaging Science & Technology, Archiving’19 is an international community of technical experts, managers, practitioners, and academics from cultural heritage institutions, universities, and commercial enterprises, to explore and discuss the digitization, preservation and access of 2D, 3D, and AV materials. This year’s conference was held in May at the Arquivo Nacional da Torre do Tombo in Lisbon, Portugal. I will be recapping the best of the program including those from CERN, the Library of Congress, Smithsonian, Purdue, J. Paul Getty Trust, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Image Science Associates, and Cognition, just to name a few. I will also summarize our presentation called “Preserving Virtual World Cultural Heritage using Preservica & Custom Metadata Schema.”
