The Masters in Library and Information Science program (MLIS) is accredited by the American Library Association (ALA). This is a national accrediting body and between accreditation visits we have to supply annual statistics and biennial narrative reports addressing the standards.

The standards must be followed regardless of the delivery format. See ALA Standards for Accreditation of Master’s Programs in Library and Information Studies (rev. January 28, 2019).

See more information about the MLIS program accreditation, including the school’s 2014 self-study and program presentation; and the response of the visiting American Library Association team and re-accreditation affirmation.
