Data Analytics and Data Driven Decision Making — MARA Elective Cluster
Electives focus on managing big data, visualizing information, and using social media for competitive and company research. (Prerequisites are waived for MARA students.)
Students focusing on the Data Analytics and Data Driven Decision Making elective cluster should take 12 units from the following courses:
MARA 284 Seminar in Archives and
Topic: Technology, Privacy and the Law
Select 6 units from:
- Big Data Analytics and Management
- Information Visualization
- Web 2.0 and Social Media
- Web/Text/Data Mining
And select an additional 3 units from:
- Using Social Media for Competitive and Company Research
- Project Management
- Change Management
INFO 287 Seminar in
- Problem Solving with Data
- Collecting and Analyzing Data for Evidence Based Decisions
Note: MARA students may take only 9 units of elective credit outside of MARA—so be sure that 3 units of credit are from MARA electives.
