Digital Curation — MARA Elective Cluster
Electives focus on the selection, collection, maintenance, preservation, and archiving of digital assets. (Prerequisites are waived for MARA students.)
MARA students are required to take one of the courses included in this cluster in order to earn the Digital Assets Certificate: MARA 283: Enterprise Content Management and Digital Preservation, which does not count toward the 12 units of elective requirement.
Students focusing on Digital Curation elective cluster should take the following three courses for 12 units:

And an additional 3 units of elective credit from the following:
- INFO 284 Seminar in Archives and Records Management Topic: Digitization and Digital Preservation
- INFO 284 Seminar in Archives and Records Management Topic: Curating Exhibitions from Archival Collections
- INFO 220 Resources and Information Services in Professions and Disciplines Topic: Digital Humanities
Note: MARA students may take only 9 units of elective credit outside of MARA—so be sure that 3 units of credit are from MARA electives.
