Dr. Ben Mitchell (he/they) is a librarian, educator, and researcher with a background in the history of science, medical humanities, and neurodiversity studies. Committed to making scholarship more accessible, as an assistant curator at the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre, they helped design public programming related to the history of mental health and neurodivergence at the site of the former Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital in Etobicoke, Ontario. They are an international speaker on topics related to neurodiversity and librarianship and help to organize the Neuro-GLAM-erous Discord server and yearly NeuroGLAM conference for neurodivergent gallery, library, archives, and museum (GLAM) workers.
