ALA ThinkTank and iSchool Present ‘Wellness Strategies in Challenging Times’

Webcast

SJSU ALA Think Tank March 2025 Webcast

Our school has partnered with the American Library Association to bring you ALA ThinkTank, a free virtual series covering important topics affecting information professionals and the information professions.

Our second webcast in this series focuses on identifying practical tools for managing stress, anxiety and workplace incivility. Wellness Strategies: Dealing with Anxiety and Incivility During a Time of Uncertainty is designed to provide a space for library professionals under significant stress to explore solutions and strategies to:

  • Cultivate calm
  • Encourage peace
  • Foster serenity amid stressful and uncertain situations

This event is co-led by iSchool Director Anthony Chow and former ALA President Loida Garcia-Febo. Guest speakers include Chicago Public Library Director Chris Brown; Library Teacher, AASL Emerging Leader Member Guide 2025 Anita Cellucci; Liaison Librarian and University of Pittsburgh Senate President Robin Kear; and Librarian/Information Ambassador and iSchool alum Mychal Threets.

This interactive event also includes breakout rooms with attendee discussion and examples from the field, including tools and strategies.
