Crisis Planning: A Conversation with an Expert Panel

The members of the SJSU School of Information’s Leadership and Management Program Advisory Committee participate in a round robin discussion about crisis planning. The panelists address the following questions:

  • Supervising, managing, and leading people during a time of crisis is different than normal times. What qualities or skills are necessary to successfully lead a team through a crisis?
  • How do you effectively communicate with your team or with other colleagues during a crisis?
  • How do you prioritize limited and sometimes diminished resources during a crisis?
  • How can we manage a crisis while still prioritizing equity and social justice among our communities and employees?
