Collection Development Trends: Medical and Health Sciences Libraries
Kathryn M. Johnston, 2021 Showcase
Collection Development Trends: Medical and Health Sciences Libraries: This blog is about recent collection development trends in medical and health sciences libraries, including topics on collection development policies, public health, the selection and assessment of journals, various publishing trends, DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion), and special collections.
Kathryn M. Johnston is currently in her fourth year at SJSU and works at a large public library in the Seattle area. She is attending SJSU after a career as a policy and systems analyst (including over 10 years at a medical insurer) so taking the Medical and Health Librarianship course was a natural interest. Kate is scheduled to graduate in Fall 2022 from SJSU and works to include both her background in IT and policy analysis in her work.
