Morrill Memorial Library Media & Marketing Plan: This semester-long project focuses on a target-marketing approach to ascertain the needs of a community and discovering just what a library can do for its patrons. The results of the “survey” were utilized as a tool for the marketing department to promote services that in some way met the needs of the target audiences. Along with a written and comprehensive Marketing Plan, I have included a video presentation that gives a synopsis of the project. I hope you enjoy it!
Carla B. Howard: “I have always been an avid reader and student. Books have been my mainstay and my best friends through many of life’s trials, and at the library I found a community of readers much like myself. I started out as a part-time Circulation Assistant in 2013; in 2018 I was promoted to a full-time position. My new title was Senior Circulation and Media and Marketing Assistant. After two years in this position, I decided to pursue an MLIS, as I wanted to become a professional librarian. I have continued to pursue my degree and in 2022 I was promoted to the position of Generalist Librarian and Media & Marketing Specialist. My goal is to complete my MLIS by December 2025, and continue serving as a public librarian with a specialty in Media and Marketing.”
