A Redesign of the Huell Howser Archives’ Website: This project report analyzes and critiques the layout and content organization of the Huell Howser Archives’ website (https://blogs.chapman.edu/huell-howser-archives/) and provides a proposal for a redesign after performing user research and environmental scanning, as well as analyzation of user personas and user journey maps.
Stephen Thomas: “I am currently enrolled in San Jose State University’s Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) program working towards becoming an archivist. I have a background in computer science, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in the subject in 2016 from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, along with a minor in philosophy. After graduating, I worked professionally as a software developer for over seven years, focusing on Android mobile app development. Starting in 2025, I decided to change my career as I wanted to pursue something more closely aligned with my passion for organizing and cataloging information, which was born from archiving and digitizing my family’s photographs and home movies. This was when I began my MLIS program with the goal of starting a new career where I can apply my interest in audiovisual archival as well as my background knowledge and experience with computer science and programming.”
