McKinley Griffin is excited to say that she only has her e-Portfolio remaining to complete her MLIS as SJSU. McKinley went back to school six years after completing her bachelor’s degree in history with an emphasis on Pre-Columbian and Early American History. As an undergraduate student, McKinley worked as a processor in the university’s special collections and then worked for a private archive upon graduation. Through her graduate work with SJSU, McKinley also completed an internship for the American Film Institute, which she rather enjoyed. McKinley is currently an associate archivist for an historical library located in the Intermountain West, where her duties include frequent travel to international records repositories to support the archival and preservation work in those areas. McKinley is an enthusiastic enjoyer of soup on a rainy day, loves “old black and white movies” with their post-code clever dialogue, and is a passionate feminist.
