What is the Dickens Project in Second Life?
Throughout December, Seanchai Libary and its annual Dickens Project celebrates Charles Dickens and the Victorian Era in Second Life. This year, the venue will include Dickens research projects, tours of the historical simulation (inspired by scenes in Dickens’ works), Victorian burlesque performances, the annual Fezziwig ball, Urchins in Dickens’ London (a free play game with optional roleplay), and much more. The celebration will culminate in a full reading of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol by professional actors.
The Dickens Project opens 11/30/18 at the Linden Endowment for the Arts Region 7 (SL URL: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/LEA7/114/149/21), and Seanchai library will release a full schedule in November 2018.
