Tarunjot Kaur Chahal is a graduate student in Informatics and holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science. As a South Asian American deeply interested in the intersection of technology, identity, community, and care, she has focused her research on the digital divide, health informatics, and the role of technology in public health. Tarunjot is particularly passionate about data analytics and has applied her technical skills to projects such as analyzing disease dynamics to better understand patterns in health outcomes. Her recent work explores how innovations like telemedicine and wearable devices are reshaping healthcare access, especially for marginalized populations. Tarunjot is dedicated to leveraging data-driven solutions to make digital healthcare more inclusive and responsive to diverse communities. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) iSchool student group at San José State University, where she supports initiatives that promote visibility, advocacy, and community engagement.
