iSchool Library Liaison
Three librarians from the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library at San José State University assist iSchool students and faculty members navigate and access information through library resources and online.

Gareth Scott has been working at San José State University since 2018 and has served as liaison to departments in Art, Art History, Design, Engineering, and now Library and Information Science. He has worked as a librarian at many colleges in the Bay Area, including teaching information literacy at CSU East Bay, and as systems librarian at Chabot College. He received his MLIS in 2010 from the University of Washington.
DeeAnn Tran joined Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Library at San José State University in 2018. In addition to liaising for the School of Information, she also serves as the librarian for Teacher Education and Special Education. She has more than 15 years working in public and independent school libraries in the Bay Area. She received her MLIS in 2017 from San José State University.
Craig Simpson is the director of special collections and archives for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library at San José State University. He has more than 20 years of experience as a librarian, archivist and faculty member in higher education. Simpson has taught history at Marquette University, humanities at Columbus State Community College and a wide range of courses in library science and lifelong learning at Indiana University.
