iSchool Library Liaisons
Two librarians from the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library at San José State University assist iSchool students and faculty members navigate and access information through library resources and online.
Librarian Andrew Chae works to support iSchool students enrolled in the MLIS, BSISDA, MS in Informatics, and certificate programs. His email address is andrew.chae@sjsu.edu.
Faculty Director of Special Collections and University Archives Craig Simpson works with students enrolled in the MARA program. His email address is craig.simpson@sjsu.edu.
Biographies
Andrew Chae is a tenure track faculty librarian who serves as the liaison to the School of Information. He received his MLIS from San José State University in 2020. He previously worked for the Alameda County Library and the San Lorenzo Unified School District, and he is excited to use his experience to serve the diverse iSchool community.
Craig Simpson is the director of special collections and archives for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library at San José State University. He has more than 20 years of experience as a librarian, archivist and faculty member in higher education. Simpson has taught history at Marquette University, humanities at Columbus State Community College and a wide range of courses in library science and lifelong learning at Indiana University.
