Book Drive for Ukrainian Kids
Support Literacy for War-Affected Children
Inspired by the “Children Draw War, Not Flowers”, a collection of drawings by Ukrainian children reflecting their experiences of war, the San José State University iSchool, in collaboration with the American Library Association and Little Free Library, has created a GoFundMe campaign to support literacy for Ukraine’s war-affected kids.
The project has 3 stages:
- Cherkasy Launch (Goal: $5,000) – Three Little Free Library Book Houses, purchasing of children’s books;
- Kyiv Expansion (Goal: $10,000) – Three more Little Free Library Book Houses, more books;
- Ukraine-Wide Impact (Goal: $25,000) – Four more Little Free Library Book Houses in other villages, expanding our book collection.
