iSchool Immersive Experiences
The iSchool hosts Mozilla Hubs open-source code to give students and faculty members an easy way to learn, collaborate, and build highly customizable immersive virtual reality environments that are accessible on any modern device. While they can be experienced with a VR headset, these environments run entirely in a web browser with no account login or special headset needed. Participants can use voice or text chat, and rooms can hold multiple people at a time. This initiative is part of the iSchool’s commitment to provide an educational experience that is high tech, high touch, and high quality.
Visit these immersive environments and get a new perspective of everything iSchool. Some rooms may take longer to load.

iSchool Student Graduation Rooms
The rooms below were created by some of our graduating students. They are environments that represent their academic work and interests, as well as their personalities.
A cabin in the woods was an idyllic setting for Glenn Flood’s graduation party. The 2022 MLIS graduate created a cozy environment featuring plush furniture and arcade games, all surrounded by examples of his course work and personal photos. Don’t miss the turntable on the balcony overlooking beautiful snow-covered scenery.
Rosa Rodriguez placed her graduation party in an art-adorned house perched at the edge of the sea. The multi-floored building features a towering cherry blossom tree along with videos, personal images, and links to projects. A plant-laden rooftop deck completes the 2021 MLIS graduate’s picturesque party space.
Sarah Walters, ‘22 MLIS, situated her graduation party within a partially open-air gallery centered on a lush, purple-leafed tree. Champagne and party hats set the festive scene, while course work, colorful personal photos, and helpful VR-navigating instructions line the walls. Clear blue skies and a congratulatory banner complete the celebratory environment.
