The results from the 2015 American Library Association (ALA) election are in, and iSchool Director Sandra Hirsh was elected to serve a three-year term as International Relations Round Table (IRRT) councilor at large to the ALA Council.
iSchool Lecturer Named Fellow and Alumna Awarded Grant by Medical Library Association
The San José State University (SJSU) School of Information was well-represented at the recent Medical Library Association (MLA) conference. Lecturer Dr. Cheryl Dee was named an MLA Fellow, and alumna Jennifer Dinalo was awarded a Career Development Grant from the Medical Informatics Section (MIS) of the MLA.
Expert in Adolescent Learning Appointed Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Teacher Librarian Program
The San José State University (SJSU) School of Information has hired Dr. Mary Ann Harlan, an iSchool alumna and lecturer, as an assistant professor and coordinator of the Teacher Librarian program. Harlan brings a wealth of research and experience in teacher librarianship and youth services to the tenure-track position.
