SJSU SLIS Graduate Students Honored at Convocation Ceremony

News

Graduates of the San José State University School of Library and Information Science (SJSU SLIS) converged in San José, California, and online for the 2011-2012 Convocation ceremony on Saturday, May 19, 2012.

True to its online learning format, the School streamed the ceremony for those who were unable to attend the momentous occasion in-person. Graduates, family, and friends virtually participated and watched the live ceremony via their computers and mobile devices.

The recording of the event will be available here soon.

The School honored graduates of the fully online Master of Archives and Records Administration program, fully online Master of Library and Information Science program, and fully online Teacher-Librarian credential program.

Many SJSU SLIS graduates showcased their learning through a comprehensive e-portfolio. Other graduates completed consulting projects for real-world clients, and yet others published a thesis.

Altogether, more than 600 students who hail from 37 states and four Canadian provinces graduated this academic year. They join the thousands of accomplished alumni who have earned their graduate degree at SJSU SLIS over the last 50 years.

Congratulations!
