SLIS Alum Christopher Felker Elected to Serve on SAA Steering Committee
SLIS Alum Christopher Felker was recently elected national representative of the Steering Committee for the Society of American Archivists (SAA) Government Records Section for the term 2012-2014. The Government Records Section consists of SAA members concerned with the administration, organization, and care of government records.
As a representative, Felker will advocate for revisions to the archival standards that describe litigation records and will work for more robust oversight appraisal of U.S. District Court records by the National Archives and Records Administration. He will also focus on enhanced data curation and the expansion of digital archive collaborations, starting with Civil Rights records.
