As Washington State Librarian, Sara Jones runs the Washington State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State. In this role she leads the management of Institutional Library Services at 10 different locations; oversees the operations of the Washington Talking Book and Braille Library; works with the Institute of Museum and Library Services to manage federal funding, compliance of the Library Services and Technology Act, as well as CARES Act and ARPA grant funding; safeguards the state library’s role as a historical asset and repository for government documents and publications.
