The Student Research Journal of the San José State
University School of Information offers open-access,
peer-reviewed scholarship on librarianship, archives, and
information science and has surpassed 100,000 downloads since its
first issue was published in 2010. The journal has been accessed
from more than 180 countries.
Graduate students and alumni of the San José State University
School of Information will be showcasing their research projects,
community programs, innovative ideas, and professional
experiences at a poster session held during the upcoming annual
conference of the American Library Association.
San José State University School of Information’s Student
Research Journal announces a new editor-in-chief has
been appointed for the 2018-2019 academic year. Megan Price, a
graduate student in the Master of Library and Information Science
degree program, is the journal’s eighth editor-in-chief.
The San José State University School of Information has rewarded
five exceptional students for their outstanding efforts as their
time in graduate school draws to a close.
Two graduates of the San José State University School of
Information were recognized by Library Journal for
their exceptional contributions as emerging leaders in the
library community.
The San José State University School of Information and the
Gwinnett County Public Library have chosen a Brooklyn-based
iSchool student as the first recipient of the Innovative
Librarians Award.

Sandra Hirsh with awards for their contributions to the
school.
