Founder and President of Dority & Associates
Kim Dority, MLIS, is president of Dority Associates, an information strategy and content development practice she founded in 2000. In addition, she works with students and alumni for the San José State University iSchool program as their consulting career coach while also teaching as an adjunct instructor for the Kent State University School of Information MLIS program. She has authored dozens of articles and several books on LIS career topics, most notably Rethinking Information Work: A Career Guide for Librarians and Other Information Professionals, 2d ed (2016). Dr. Amanda Folk
Assistant Professor and the Head of Teaching and Learning at the Ohio State Libraries
Dr. Amanda Folk is an assistant professor and the head of teaching and learning at the Ohio State Libraries. She earned the PhD degree in Social and Comparative Analysis in Education at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Education. Her dissertation combines her professional interests in teaching and information literacy with her interest in examining the academic experiences of first-generation, low-income, low-SES, and/or working-class students.
