Gina Lee

Gina Lee joined the San José State University School of Information in 2006. She has worked in several roles. Initially, she worked closely with students when the iSchool had a satellite campus at CSU Fullerton. She provided a complete student support package.

When the iSchool went 100% online in 2009, Lee joined the technology team running queries for data analysis, online syllabi, and database passwords for instructors and students.

She has now moved back to providing online support for all students in the iSchool.

Taryn Reiner

Taryn Reiner

In 2021, Taryn Reiner joined the San José State University School of Information as a member of the Student Services Team. In her role she advises graduate students enrolled in the fully online master’s degree and certificate programs, along with supporting students who are experiencing academic difficulties. Previously, she was an elementary and high school counselor for about 20 years in California, New Mexico, and Hawai’i.

Students experiencing academic difficulties or on academic notice may email Taryn for an individual session.

Kaitlyn Stauber

Kaitlyn Stauber

As the Student Success Coordinator, Kaitlyn provides dedicated support to students within the College of Information, Data and Society, offering academic advising and guidance and helping them navigate administrative forms and procedures. She is also responsible for assisting with on-campus student events and serving as a resource for incoming students by handling questions, referrals, and responses. Kaitlyn also assists with communication for the College’s student groups and organizations.

With over 8 years of dedicated experience in higher education student support, Kaitlyn previously supported graduate students at Santa Clara University and assisted undergraduate students with accessibility at Menlo College, where she also served as a student success coach. Kaitlyn also maintains a health and fitness background and is a coach at Orangetheory Fitness.
