MARA 294 Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes — MARA 294
After successfully applying to an internship site, the student must create a set of Learning Outcomes, which are statements that describe what the students will have learned and are able to do by the end of the semester as a result of engaging in the internship. These statements should focus on the acquisition of observable and measurable knowledge, skills and abilities, and reflect the desired end of the learning experience, not simply the means or the process (e.g., a list of activities performed for the internship).
The learning outcomes and internship responsibilities should be agreed on in consultation with the internship site supervisor, and a statement of those outcomes submitted to the appropriate internship faculty supervisor (via the Professional Experience: Internship – Student Application form) for approval before the internship begins.
