Virtual Graduation Celebration
iSchool graduates can choose to participate in any or all of the three virtual opportunities iSchool provides to honor graduates: 1. Virtual Graduation Zoom Celebration, 2. Graduate Video, 3. Virtual Graduation Website.

1. Virtual Graduation Zoom Celebration
Dr. Sandra Hirsh; Julius C. Jefferson, Jr., the invited convocation speaker; and Sharaya Olmeda, the graduating student speaker will deliver remarks.
Graduate names are not read aloud at the virtual graduation celebration; however, a graduate video featuring student-submitted photos is shown at the end of the virtual ceremony (see 2 below).
When: The celebration was held Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 5 p.m. Pacific Time.
How to Participate: Graduates will be sent instructions on how to access the online event in May.

2. Graduate Video
Each year, our student leaders create a special video featuring the graduates from that academic year. Participation is optional. The video culminates the virtual graduation celebration. View the video from May 2020.
How to Participate: Leaders from our student chapters of professional organizations will send a call to participate and a deadline through email. Watch for the instructions to be sent by email in February. Deadline to submit for the video is: deadline was extended to May 7th.

3. Virtual Graduation Website
A special online graduation platform celebrates our graduates and includes messages from our speakers, graduate profiles, graduating student award winners, and a degree presentation. Participation is optional.
Everyone is welcomed to post congratulatory messages on the graduate profile pages. Graduates can be found via degree or a name search. Please share your words of wisdom and let our graduates know how proud you are of their accomplishments!
How to Participate: Students completing their degree in August 2019, December 2019 or prospective graduates for May 2020 or Aug 2020 will receive an email from the Student Services Coordinator, with instructions on how to create and submit a graduate profile to the online graduation platform.
Important: Be sure to click “Submit” once you have saved your profile. A confirmation message will be received once a profile has been submitted to the system. If you “Save” but do not “Submit,” the profile will not be registered.
