Rebekkah Smith Aldrich
Executive Director, Mid-Hudson Library System
Rebekkah Smith Aldrich (MLS, LEED AP) is the executive director of the Mid-Hudson Library System. She currently serves as the co-chair of the American Library Association’s (ALA) Special Task Force on Sustainability, as an advisory board member for the ALA Center for the Future of Libraries, and is a founding board member of the ALA Sustainability Round Table and the co-founder of the New York Library Association’s Sustainability Initiative.
Dr. Lisa Daulby
Lecturer, School of Information, San Jose State University
Dr. Lisa Daulby is an information/data governance professional with Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). Lisa hold a doctorate/Ph.D. in Information Technology and is a Certified Records Manager (CRM) and Certified Information Governance Professional (IGP). Lisa is also a Lecturer at the School of Information, San Jose State University in both the Master of Archives and Records Administration (MARA) and Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) Programs.
Helen Streck
President and CEO, Kaizen InfoSource
Helen Streck has 32 years of experience in records and information management. She has successfully described and defended her RIM program designs and practices to the U.S. Attorney’s office. She served as director of corporate records and information management for pharmaceutical companies and records manager and consultant for municipal government agencies and law firms. She has crafted information management program strategies for a broad spectrum of domestic and international clients. Streck is active in ARMA International and has presented at international conferences.
Matt Seguin
Curator of Husbandry and Records, Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium
My primary duty is overseeing the health/husbandry of the fish and invertebrate collection. I work closely with the veterinary staff to maintain biosecurity within the aquarium, ensuring that all animals go through proper quarantine treatments before being added to the collection. I also serve as the registrar for the aquarium, securing proper permits and maintaining accurate physical and digital records of the animals in the collection.

Sunny Kim
Teen Librarian
Sunny Kim is deeply honored to live and work in Seattle as a teen librarian. They love building strong relationships with young people, geeking out over science fiction and comic books, and serving the community. They also recently served on the Asian Pacific American Librarians Association Young Adult Literature Awards Committee during the first year APALA was included in the ALA Youth Media Awards. They have presented at the Washington Library Association conference, ALA Midwinter, and the Joint Conference of Librarians of Color on transgender inclusion and cultural humility.
Reed Garber-Pearson
Integrated Social Sciences & Online Learning Librarian at the University of Washington
Reed Garber-Pearson is the Integrated Social Sciences & Online Learning Librarian at the University of Washington where they have worked since 2016. Garber-Pearson is currently serving as the President-Elect for the Washington State Chapter of the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL). They organized the Social Justice and Libraries Open Conference in 2016, the UW Libraries’ Practicing Critical Librarianship Unconference in 2017, and have presented at local and national conferences on critical digital pedagogy and transgender inclusion.
Micah Kehrein
Library Associate II at Seattle Public Library
Micah Kehrein is a current MLIS student at the SJSU iSchool and a Library Associate II for the Seattle Public Library. They grew up in a small town where the public library was central to the community and have been passionate about libraries ever since. Kehrein believes that public libraries must explicitly center equity and social justice in order to truly provide access for all. Once they have completed the MLIS program, Kehrein hopes to go back to their roots and practice radical, welcoming librarianship in rural America.
Bean Yogi
Library Associate IV at the Seattle Public Library
Bean Yogi is an Indigenous (Uchinanchu/Shimanchu) public library worker and a San José State University School of Information MLIS student, based on Duwamish land. Their work in libraries centers the intersectional lives of queer and trans Black, Indigenous, and Brown people, through a transformative justice lens. The best book they’ve read in 2019 is Revolting Prostitutes: The Fight for Sex Workers’ Rights by Juno Mac and Molly Smith. For resilience, Yogi practices somatic healing, keeps up with the Seattle Storm, and accepts all karaoke invitations.
Pari Swift
University Records Manager, The Ohio State University
Pari Swift is the Records Manager for Ohio State University. She has also served as Senior Records Manager at the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Local Government Records Archivist and then as Assistant State Archivist in the State Archives of Ohio. She has served as chair of the Ohio Electronic Records Committee and Ohio Historical Records Advisory Board, was President of NAGARA, and is President of the Greater Columbus ARMA. She chairs NAGARA’s Professional Development Committee.
Deb Sica
Deputy County Librarian, Alameda County Library
Deb Sica, MFA, MLIS, has been in research, education and libraries since 1993. She is a graduate of the University of Buffalo, Naropa University and San José State University. She has been an archivist, an academic and a public library administrator in both the Texas Gulf Coast and San Francisco Bay Area. She spent the last decades in public libraries working to transform dated, discordant policy into socially just, fully inclusive practice. Sica has been politically active for more than 30 years and continues the fight for equity, diversity and inclusion in libraries and in life.
