REFORMA Los Angeles Chapter Scholarships

Post

As our library profession strives to serve an increasingly diverse population, the Los Angeles Chapter of REFORMA (National Association to Promote Library & Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish Speaking) seeks to recruit and retain Spanish/English bilingual students within the librarianship profession through local REFORMA scholarship funds.

The Los Angeles Chapter of REFORMA offers two different scholarships, each in the amount of $1000. Students can apply to one or both scholarships through the yearly application. However, each student can only be awarded one scholarship.

  • The Elizabeth Martinez Scholarship is open to current graduate students in Library and Information Science (MLIS) living in Los Angeles County.
  • The Dr. Karin Duran Scholarship is open to current graduate students in Library and Information Science (MLIS), living in Los Angeles County, with an academic or archival focus.
