Sign-ups for Fall Open Classes
registrations open at 8 am Pacific on July 8,
2026 and closes at 5pm on July 24,
2026. For best selection, complete the form as soon
as the form opens and reply to us in a timely manner, as
courses fill quickly. The community is only able to access the
iSchool’s graduate level Open Classes through our official Open
Classes web request process (and not through SJSU’s Open
University program).
Fall semester dates for MLIS, MSIDT and MARA courses
will start Aug. 19, 2026 through Dec. 7, 2026. See: our

Schedules for the dates of INFM courses. Please
check on the Schedule of Classes in the Notes column for the
start and end dates of the variable unit classes (1 unit and
2 units), as they have different start and end
dates through the session. These dates will be added later.
Most classes are asynchronous, but take a close look at the class
schedules for any classes with Mandatory Zoom
class meetings. They will be indicated on the schedule as dates
become known.
